He grew up in Haifa, Israel and moved to Princeton to live with his uncle and aunt when he was 16 years old. Daniel has a B.A in Theatre from the College of New Jersey with an extensive resume of theatrical acting, including roles in New York City, as well as theaters in the Princeton area. When not pursuing acting, Daniel is employed as a driver for a Mercer County company called “Ride Provide,” which transports mostly elderly and disabled Mercer County residents to various destinations for a nominal cost. He feels that living in an affordable unit at Griggs Farm, due to its amenities and location, has been a tremendous asset in helping him to pursue his artistic dream. I can afford this housing”, stated David Anderson. After retiring, David’s decreased income required him to downsize. His two-bedroom apartment at Griggs Farm has provided a home for his ten-year-old daughter and himself that is both affordable and close to her school. “It is a terrible thing for a parent to have to worry about moving a family around when financial hardship strikes. Affordable apartments are stable apartments, and stability makes all the difference for growing children.” Both David and his daughter love living at Griggs Farm. As a young athlete, David’s daughter frequently uses the nearby soccer field and park that are approximately 100 yards from their home. Originally from Massachusetts, Beth moved to New Jersey 18 years ago. Before relocating to Princeton, Beth would take the bus every morning from Trenton in order to volunteer at the Princeton Library and lead a writer’s workshop. In the past, she would tell people that she lived in Princeton, but slept in Trenton, because of her fondness for the town. Beth was able to move to Elm Court six years ago after qualifying for a one bedroom apartment. Not having to carry the burden of financial stress, which has been relieved due to an income-adjusted rent, has eased her mind- she loves living in a safe community. Beth’s favorite aspects of living at Elm Court are the easy and free transportation around Princeton, the quiet, friendly atmosphere, and the natural setting of the community which fulfills her dream of living in nature. Beth has always been interested in writing and now takes classes at the Arts Council of Princeton, where she is learning to write and illustrate children’s books. In her spare time, Beth volunteers with the children’s programming of Homefront, a nonprofit working to end homelessness in Mercer County. Her mother and maternal grandmother were also natives to Princeton. Lois was raised with 9 siblings and has very fond memories of growing up in Princeton. She attended the Witherspoon School on Quarry Street until the eighth grade. Lois shares that at that time, schools in Princeton were segregated and all white students attended another elementary school located on Nassau Street. By the time Lois was ready for high school, Princeton Schools were fully integrated. Lois recalls that many African-American residents of the community could not afford to go on to high school and went to work instead. However Lois’s parents were determined to ensure that all of their children attended high school. Lois was an excellent student and graduated from Princeton High School in 1945. Following her graduation, Lois worked as a nanny for a Princeton University professor and his family for several years. She also married and had one son. In the early 1950’s, she was one of the first African- Americans to be hired by Princeton University. Lois had excellent typing skills and worked as a keypunch operator for several years until she was offered a position as a typist for the Princeton Bank and Trust Company. She later worked as a teacher’s aide for the Princeton Waldorf School until her retirement. Lois eventually purchased the family home on Margerum Court and lived there with her mother and later with her second husband. Eventually she sold it and moved to an apartment in Kingston, NJ. When her husband passed away, Lois felt that she “wanted to go home” to Princeton. She moved to an apartment on Quarry Street and eventually to Elm Court. Lois says, “I love living at Elm Court in a community and with people my own age. They migrated from China to be closer to their grown children. Houming was formerly a Communications professor at the University of Electronics, Science and Technology; his wife also taught at the same University. Elm Court is “a very nice place, I like the environment, the trees, the residents are friendly. The staff is very kind and I am near my children,” says Houming. One of their main reasons for coming to the U.S. was for the education of their children. That goal is definitely being met – Joel, 19 is studying Business at Rutgers University and Jochebed, 17, has been accepted to Princeton University for September 2013, with a full scholarship in Economics/Public Policy. Ashley, 13, is enjoying basketball for now and is also just a few years away from college. Chris’s background in agriculture and his interest in environmental sustainability helped PCV win the Sustainable Princeton Leadership Award in 2009. She missed the beauty, safety, and friendliness of Princeton and wanted to return to the town she calls home. After her husband passed away, Shelley no longer felt safe living alone in Trenton, especially after her home was burglarized. She learned about Elm Court through her family members who were already residents of the community. Shelley now lives down the hall from her father and aunt, and close to her other family members and friends that live in Princeton. The safe environment and kind people at Elm Court are Shelley’s favorite aspects of the Princeton Community Housing community. Once an avid gardener, Shelley relishes in the lush environment and natural setting of Elm Court and the Community Garden. She enjoys looking out her apartment window, which provides a perfect view of the courtyard, to see trees and squirrels. In her spare time, Shelley loves to play bingo at various clubs in and around Princeton as often as possible. She appreciates the ability to maintain her freedom thanks to Elm Court’s free transportation and access to helpful social services. Yiu Yin Chan grew up in Hong Kong and moved to the United States in 2000 to be closer to her daughter, son and grandson, who attends Rutgers University. Min Guiying grew up on a farm in Jinge Xi, China. She was a child when she learned to farm and she is now an accomplished gardener. When she moved to the United States in 2002, she missed being able to plant in her own garden. She loves living at Elm Court and enjoys the Harriet Bryan House garden because she has been able to get back to growing vegetables. During the spring of 2012, Min Guiying participated in the Inter-generational Community Garden project. She worked cooperatively with fourth grade students from Johnson Park School planting and tending to shared garden plots. On some days they ate the vegetables they planted together. Min Guiying especially enjoys the beautiful landscape that surrounds Elm Court and Harriet Bryan House. She takes a walk around the building every day. Gardening and planting vegetables makes Yiu Yin Chan and Min Guiying “feel very happy.” They also enjoy eating the vegetables and sharing them with their neighbors. It was hard.” Fifteen years later Emmanuel, his wife Blessing, and their three daughters, Mary, Vera, and Mercy have made a comfortable home in Princeton and are active members of the community. Both Emmanuel and Blessing work at Princeton University, the youngest daughter Mercy attends Riverside elementary, while Vera is at John Witherspoon Middle School. Eldest daughter Mary is a freshman at Rutgers in New Brunswick. “There was never any choice about Mary going to college. Education is the most important thing to us. We are so proud of her. She sets a good example for her younger sisters. And the scholarship Mary received really helps us meet the costs of college.” Mary was a 2013 recipient of a NJAHMA (New Jersey Affordable Housing Management Association) and NAMA scholarship. Princeton Community Village (PCV) has been a welcoming place to raise their family. “There are people from people from all over the world at PCV: Ghana, Cameroon, Haiti, Egypt. We have many friends from Africa here. We had a big party at the clubhouse for Mary’s graduation and everyone came and danced and ate. It was like a family.” “We really appreciate living here and all the support we get. For example, the afterschool program is great.” Referring to the PCV-run enrichment program that provides homework and study skills assistance, Emmanuel says, “The girls get off the school bus and are met by staff who bring them to the clubhouse where they do their homework. fourteen years old when she moved to PCV with her parents. Now twenty six years later she lives with her husband, Jim, and their three children in a townhouse on Red Oak Row. Her parents also still live at PCV. Stephanie remembers growing up at PCV with kids feeling like they are part of a community – she wants the same for her children. Each Halloween, the Nazarios transform the PCV Clubhouse into a “haunted house” for the entire community to visit and enjoy. Why were you interested in joining the PCH Board and working for affordable housing in Princeton? And how long have you been on the Board? With my retirement on the horizon, one of my goals was to find meaningful volunteer work.  A request by my church to be the representative to PCH was made to me just as I was considering my options.  Even without researching the organization, my first inclination was a definite yes!  Safe and well-maintained housing makes all the difference in a person's life, be they single or a family, young or old. I was especially impressed to find that PCH has housing specifically for the elderly. My mother was fortunate to be able to live in a retirement home after she became a widow, and since she lived more than five hours away by car from me, I was so happy she had good people looking after her. Another impressive feature I discovered about PCH is the many social services they provide. Then when I met with Ed and Alice, I was sold - two dedicated and talented people being a part of this organization told me I would be fortunate to be a part of it.  So I joined officially this past summer (2020). What is your professional background? For the past 17 years, I was an educator in the primary school of Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart. Before that, I had various jobs, full- and part-time, as my late husband and I lived in various states as well as in Hong Kong and Singapore.  I started out as an educator at the secondary level in Virginia teaching social studies for four years before getting a master's in global management (international business). The other long-term job I held was working for Briggs & Stratton as a product manager in their automotive parts division.   What other volunteer activities do you participate in? In recent years most of my volunteer work was at my school.  I was chairman of the Living the Goals Committee which helped students and staff understand and live out our five goals.  I was co-chairman of our committee on outreach and served on various other committees over the years. Since I moved to Princeton in the summer of 2002 I have been the head of my church's Sunday school, served on the vestry twice (once being head of our outreach committee), and volunteered at Good Grief for over four years as a facilitator. But for now, PCH is the only volunteer work I do.  I shall have to see what I can do after the pandemic is over! How long have you been in the Princeton area and why did you come to this community? I have been in Princeton, as I said, since the summer of 2002.  We moved to the area from Hong Kong for my husband's job with a multinational bank.  We chose this area as we had friends who had moved to West Windsor from Hong Kong the year before us and recommended the area as having great schools and having a diverse population, something my whole family desired. What are your hobbies and interests? I did not know about  PCH until being approached about joining the board. Once I got to know PCH, I was struck by two things: the professionalism of the team and the worthiness of the mission. Housing is such a critical element of life. Providing stable, affordable homes so that people can live and work in our town helps create the kind of community where I’d like to live. What is your professional background? I have spent most of my career doing marketing and innovation in consumer goods and technology. I’m currently a director of innovation at Church & Dwight. What other volunteer activities do you participate in? I am primarily involved in activities through my church. My main area of focus is with our middle school and high school kids. I’m also fortunate to lead our annual Loves & Fishes event with St Mary’s Cathedral in Trenton. How long have you been in the Princeton area and why did you come to this community? We moved here after business school for work have lived in Princeton twice for a total of about 12 years. What are your hobbies and interests, specifically as they relate to housing? Mostly fixing houses. One of the things I have been doing for many years with the Nassau youth group is going on annual service trips. Why were you interested in joining the PCH Board and working for affordable housing in Princeton? And how long have you been on the Board? My joining PCH was the result of a fellow parishioner at St. Paul's who thought my mix of experience and technical skills would be a good fit for PCH - she felt that St. Paul's was underrepresented at the time. I don't recall exactly when I joined the Board, but it looks like it was early 2016. What is your professional background? I retired at the end of February 2020 from Princeton University's Facilities Operations, where I was a project manager with the title of Preservation Architect. I had worked in that position since 2007. I retired about a week before the University closed down due to the coronavirus. Timing is everything! Prior to that, I had my own small architectural practice, from early 1994, with projects mainly in the Mercer County area. Prior to that, I was at the University as an architect in the Office of Physical Planning starting in 1982. For a few years, I worked at a now-defunct architecture firm in Princeton, and before that for several years at the Engineering Bureau for the New Jersey Department of Defense. What other volunteer activities do you participate in? I am a member of the Finance Council at St. Paul's. I'm not there for any financial expertise, but to advise on the upkeep of the buildings and grounds and to help with any construction projects that are undertaken. I am a member of the Town's Historic Preservation Commission and the chair of the Town's Construction Board of Appeals. Thankfully, the Building Department for the Town does an excellent job of guiding contractors through the construction process, so there are very few appeals to that particular board. How long have you been in the Princeton area and why did you come to this community? My wife and I moved to Princeton in 1980. We had lived in Lawrence Township, not far from her parents and the house where she grew up. She had somewhat reluctantly agreed to let me build a house, and after several years we had found a piece of vacant land that we could afford, in (surprisingly) Princeton Township. We rented a small apartment in a house in the Borough, which allowed me to be close to the architecture firm I worked for, and to our property so that I could work on the house project. Nearly forty years later, I'm still working on the house, which we moved into in 1992. Sadly, these days there is generally a greater need for maintenance than for making progress on the finishes in the house. So it goes. I’m honored to serve on the PCHDC board and the Real Estate and PR/Advocacy committees. What is your professional background? As a licensed civil engineer, my professional focus has been managing capital planning, design, and construction projects for non-profit institutions. I’m currently working with Ronald McDonald House New York, Center of Theological Inquiry, Princeton Theological Seminary, the Archdiocese of New York, and Temple Israel of the City of New York. How long have you been in the Princeton area and why did you come to this community? In 2012, I moved to NJ and worked for three years at Princeton University before moving on to work in NYC, including with the New York Public Library and The Public Theater. What are your hobbies and interests? Outside of work, I’m an avid cook and runner, and a dedicated auntie to my three siblings’ six children. My involvement with PCH stems from my friendship with Daniela. We attended an event at her house in 2016 and I was made co-chair of PCH’s first Gala held in September 2017. I became a trustee in the spring of 2020. I had been looking to volunteer for a nonprofit once I stopped working, and was eager to find one that was not one of the obvious suspects. What is your professional background? I am an editor and spent my NY years in book publishing, moving from college textbooks at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich to trade for several houses. I cherish the many wonderful writers I was honored to publish. I believe in living where you work, so the move to Princeton necessitated a big career change. I decided to try retail, was hired by Simon Pearce immediately, and quickly moved into management. I then moved to a handmade furniture designer in Lambertville for two years. In early 2002, resolving to leave retail and return to freelance editing, I agreed to help the owner of Merrick's on Moore, the women's fine clothing shop, though I had no experience selling clothing. So much for resolve: I spent more than 13 years there, in sales and as a buyer, until they finally closed in 2015. What other volunteer activities do you participate in? We were very involved with the Arts Council for years, and my husband was on one of the Princeton Public Library boards for a time. We support a number of local organizations and, until Covid, were regulars at their various events. How long have you been in the Princeton area and why did you come to this community? I moved to Princeton in 1995, from Manhattan, where I'd lived for nearly 30 years. My husband, Peter Dougherty, had taken a job with Princeton University Press in 1992, but my son and I took 3 years to come around to the idea of living here. I have grown to love Princeton and am endlessly grateful for all that is at our fingertips. We own Kurt Godel's house, which has been an adventure all in itself! We treasure our relationship with the IAS and the strangers who show up in our driveway to photograph the house!  I never thought I would be happy outside my beloved NYC, but I have made my peace with that, finally! What are your hobbies and interests? We spend a lot of time in Philadelphia, belong to APS, and love the dining scene! A few years after we moved to Princeton, my husband was offered and accepted the opportunity to be the Institute for Advanced Study's (IAS) first Chief Investment Officer.  IAS is a founding member of PCH and has a representative on the board. At the time my friend Maria Maddalena was the IAS trustee. When her family situation, with three young children, made it impossible for her to continue, she told me about PCH, and then Director Peter Goddard appointed me as the next IAS rep. I joined the board in September 2008. I was always surprised by how public schools in this country are financed by local property taxes. It seems like a system perfectly designed to ensure better schools for the children of high-income families, and worse schools for others, thus increasing the achievement gap every generation. I thought that I should work to change that - not easy! I saw PCH as an opportunity to help families with lower household incomes live in a more affluent town. In a short time, I learned everything I could about affordable housing, joined committees including the national advocacy organization (National Low Income Housing Coalition), went to conferences, and read books. What is your professional background? My background is in Neuroscience. I grew up in Italy, came to the US for college (Caltech), stayed for grad school (Yale), and then for life. What other volunteer activities do you participate in? My volunteerism started when my son went to kindergarten: PTA committee, PTA president, PTA council. In Princeton, I served on the IACUC (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee) at Princeton University as an unaffiliated member for six years. I am in my sixth year serving on the board of the McCarter Theater Center, currently one of the Vice Presidents, as well as chair of the Board Development and Nominating committee. I also serve on the Executive Committee of the Friends of IAS, where I chair the Programming committee. How long have you been in the Princeton area and why did you come to this community? We moved to Princeton on Labor Day weekend 2003, from Connecticut. My husband Ashvin, a physicist turned finance executive, had joined Merrill Lynch barely ten days on 9/11. That morning, his train from Old Greenwich was late, which saved him. What is your professional background? I am a professor of psychology at Princeton University. I teach various courses, including Introductory Social Psychology, Close Relationships, and Social Stigma. The central goal guiding my research is to understand how psychological and structural factors contribute to inequality, with an emphasis on how individuals negotiate issues of prejudice in interpersonal encounters. I came to Princeton University as an Assistant Engineering Librarian in 1974, after receiving my master’s degree in library science from Rutgers University. I received my B.A. from Douglass College in English and American Studies. I worked at the University for eight years and then left to raise my children. The time, attention, and guidance that board members provide are essential to sustaining PCH and helping to keep our community inclusive and diverse. I'm glad to be a part of this effort. What is your professional background? I have worked in corporate finance and financial risk management since the 1990s, and currently run the derivatives strategy group for Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation in New York. I am also a part-time lecturer at the University of Chicago's Financial Mathematics Program. What other volunteer activities do you participate in? For many years I served on the board of Princeton Young Achievers (PYA) and then the Princeton Family YMCA when PYA became part of the Y. I'm very involved with Quaker organizations, especially our local Princeton Friends Meeting, and I currently serve on the Administrative Council of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. I also help promote scientific research at the University of Chicago, serving on the Dean's Council for the Physical Sciences. My wife Julie and I moved to Princeton in 2001, although I had lived here in the 1980's as a college student and a "townie" for three years after college. We were attracted to Princeton by the community's engagement in culture and the arts, especially architecture. Julie chairs the town's Historic Preservation Commission, so the opportunities for involvement in architecture and preservation have been important to us. What are your hobbies and interests? My main hobby aside from work and volunteering is a very amateur interest in olympic weightlifting. I was introduced to "oly lifting" first through team training for a company-sponsored obstacle course fundraising event, then through the community-oriented movement and fitness classes at Princeton's local CrossFit gym. My parents immigrated to Princeton in the early 1950’s from a small town in Italy named Pettoranello, in the mountainous region of Molise. Pettoranello de Molise, Italy, is named the sister-city of Princeton, New Jersey. My grandfather’s first job when he arrived here was at Princeton University, which he retired from in the early 1970’s. My family lived on Leigh Avenue, across the street from then Princeton Hospital. My father’s first job was at the Institute for Advanced Study, which he retired from in the early 1990’s. I am a certified public accountant and attorney, and have a master of divinity degree. For the last 32 years of my working career, I served as a vice president at two Presbyterian seminaries, most recently retiring after 20 years as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Princeton Theological Seminary. I'm coming to the end of my second 3-year term as a PCHDC trustee, so I've been on the board for about 5 1/2 years. What is your professional background? I was trained as a mathematician --- PhD Mathematics, Columbia 1967 --- taught and did research in math and statistics around the world for a number of years, and then moved into mathematical finance (a branch on mathematics). As a result of my research in mathematical finance, in 1987 I founded an institutional equity management firm in Princeton, Intech Investment Management, LLC, with offices at 1 Palmer Square. At the time I was a relatively new resident of Princeton, having moved to town in 1992 and joined the LWV board as a continuation of my LWV activity in East Windsor/Hightstown. I jumped at the chance to be on the PCH Board because I wanted to learn how PCH had succeeded in creating affordable homes in an expensive suburb. What is your professional background? After a peripatetic undergraduate career spent at Michigan State and Temple University, I received my B.A. from Thomas Edison State College in 1976 with a major in social science. By that time my husband and I were living in East Windsor and had a son and daughter, and I was a full-time homemaker, organic gardener, and volunteer. In 1981 I enrolled in law school at Rutgers – Camden and received my degree in 1984. Initially I worked for small firms representing municipalities who were dealing with the Mt. Laurel decisions; I also spent a year clerking with the appellate courts; and a year at the NJ Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency. Finally I joined the civil law division of the NJ Attorney General’s Office and spent twenty fascinating years representing the Department of Environmental Protection, the NJ Meadowlands Commission and the NJ Pinelands Commission in matters involving sewage sludge, clean water regulations, wetlands, waterfront development, solid waste, land use and pretty much everything except Superfund litigation. What other volunteer activities do you participate in? After retiring in 2009 I served on the Consolidation/Shared Services Study Commission and Transition task force for the Township of Princeton. Starting in 2016 I did some per diem legal work for the Fair Share Housing Center as they participated in the municipal cases establishing the Third Round Mt. Laurel obligations. Currently I am a citizen member of Princeton’s Sewer Management Committee and the Social Justice Grants Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Princeton, as well as currently serving as the UUCP representative on the PCH Board, and I am active in the Princeton Progressive Action Group, which advocates for changes to Princeton’s zoning to incentivize creation of homes for the “missing middle,” among other reforms. We joined the Unitarian Church of Princeton and bought our starter house in East Windsor in 1971. We recognize the importance of social determinants of success – and health – and have developed a strategic plan regarding how we can best help our employees achieve both. In addition, we conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment every three years which takes social determinants of health into account. We know that having a vibrant, active affordable housing organization is critically important to many of the residents of central New Jersey. What is your professional background? I am the CEO for Penn Medicine Princeton Health. I joined the organization 18 years ago back when we were located at 253 Witherspoon Street and have had the opportunity to be a part of several key initiatives. In my previous role as Chief Operating Officer for Princeton Health, I led the overall system planning and execution process to become part of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. I have provided administrative oversight of clinical areas including surgical services, lab and radiology, as well as ancillary and support services. One of the most interesting and challenging roles I have had is providing leadership for emergency management at Princeton Health, including the comprehensive work done throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. How long have you been in the Princeton area and why did you come to this community? I was born in northeast Pennsylvania and have been in the area for more than two decades. Princeton is where I grew up and have spent most (except for 15 years in the middle!) of my life. I think it is a special place one in which I returned to raise my own children, in part because of its great schools and exceptional public library. Also, it has always had a diversity of income levels and ethnicities, though unfortunately where some could live was limited by racial discrimination in the past. And now, with every passing year housing becomes more scarce and more expensive, and the town is in danger of being just accessible to the well-off. It was the founders of PCH who recognized past discrimination in housing, and foresaw the economic inequities that a tight market would bring. Their hard work and clear foresight is something I wanted to help continue and build on. What is your professional background? I am a Librarian. My first professional job after grad school was as a Reference Librarian at Harvard's Graduate School of Education, and then a few years later in the corporate world at a maganagemet consulting firm in New York City. I returned to Princeton in 1992 with two small children and decided to fulfill a life-long dream of owning a bookstore. I was co-owner of Micawber Books on Nassau Street until 2007 when we sold the business. How long have you been in the Princeton area and why did you come to this community? 1956-1974, 1992-present. I currently volunteer at Meals-on-Wheels and have a regular route in downtown Trenton. Why were you interested in joining the PCH Board and working for affordable housing in Princeton? I’ve been a member of the Community Board since 2019. I represent the League of Women Voters of the Princeton Area. It’s great to be working with PCH because they are so focussed on providing and maintaining affordable housing options in the Princeton area. I’m excited now about the 25 new housing units that are being added to Princeton Community Village - a project that will be completed in 2023. What is your professional background? I retired from the State Health Department in 2005 where I worked for over 25 years as a Research Scientist for the Cancer Epidemiology Services unit. I am a graduate of the Rutgers School of Social Work, where I concentrated on social policy. How long have you been in the Princeton area and why did you come to this community? My wife and I have lived in Princeton now for over 30 years. We used to live in Pennsylvania but wanted to live closer to my children. Princeton was the ideal place, as it turned out, to live. What other volunteer activities do you participate in? Besides the PCH and the League of Women Voters, I am active in my union’s retired members chapter. I am also involved in the educational and civil rights activities of the Japanese American Citizens League. What are your hobbies and interests? Probably too many interests, but I love the arts, especially the theater, music, film and photography. Why were you interested in joining the PCH Board and working for affordable housing in Princeton? I’m a long-term advocate of affordable housing both professionally and personally. My career was at the NJ Department of Human Services. After I retired I worked as a consultant in developing a system to address and end homelessness in Mercer County. Both of these efforts depended on an increased stock of affordable housing. I joined to Board of PCH in the Spring of 2022. I wanted to work on the issue of affordable housing in my own community. What is your professional background? I have a Master’s in Social Work and primarily worked in policy and program development areas. My career was in the State government serving in various positions in the Department of Human Services. My primary work was in areas of mental health, children’s services and supportive housing. After I retired from State government I worked as a consultant with disabilities and homeless issues. The need for affordable housing has been a theme in much of my professional life. How long have you been in the Princeton area and why did you come to this community? I moved to Princeton in 1979 when I began my career in State government. I wanted to live in a community with a diverse population both racially and economically. I have a strong commitment to keeping the community a diverse one and see affordable housing as a way to achieve that goal. What other volunteer activities do you participate in? I am very active in immigration issues and currently am part of the Leadership team for Solidaridad Central NJ which is a grassroots organization that assists undocumented immigrants with asylum applications. I am also active in the Princeton Community Democratic Organization and have been part of the Executive Committee. I am a social justice advocate and this keeps me busy. What are your hobbies and interests? I am a hiker and a kayaker and also an avid consumer of the arts, particularly theatre and dance.
