Why PCH? Why were you interested in joining the PCH Board and working for affordable housing in Princeton?

Why PCH?  As a former resident of  Griggs Farm, I have personally experienced the impactful and tremendous support PCH provides to families within the  Princeton Community. I was fortunate to find an affordable private home to rent  in the community for  four  years.

PCH’s holistic 360-degree approach, in providing affordable homes and more importantly advancing the  whole family through accessible community and educational programs, such as summer camps, and scholarships, is invaluable.

Why join  PCH? I am interested in joining the PCH Board for the following reasons:

1) To promote allyship between Princeton United Methodist Church (PUMC) and PCH’s work  and mission.

2) Bring awareness of  PCH’s work  to the church and public, to support PCH’s mission of  providing affordable housing to hard-working families, who cannot afford the  high housing cost in the  Princeton area.

3) Be a conduit between the organization and PCH communities by  informing and connecting families with the variety of resources available through PCH.

4) Help play a role in supporting PCH’s mission of  providing resources for children in their communities, to promote health, nutrition and equitable educational programs.

What is your professional background?

I have spent the  last 20  years in Pharma, currently working at Novo Nordisk Inc. as a contract and finance associate manager for phase IV trials.

I hold a law degree from Cardiff University, United Kingdom and bachelor’s in economics from Rutgers University. I am also working on completing my  part- time MBA from Rutgers Business School in May  2026, with a concentration in Strategy.

How long have you been in the Princeton area?

My first introduction to the Princeton area was through my work at Novo Nordisk Inc. in Plainsboro, approximately 15 years ago.

A few years later, my  children joined Princeton Girl Choir  (following their music teachers’ recommendation). This meant driving through Princeton (The Great Road) for rehearsals and performances in the area.

When  time came for High  School, I realized Princeton High  School had tremendous academic and extracurricular programs and resources. By this time, I was a divorced parent with limited resources. I was fortunate to find an affordable private rental in Griggs Farm in August 2017 where we resided for the next  four  years until my children graduated high school in June 2021.

My children and I truly became a part of  the  Princeton community when we started attending church service at Princeton United Methodist Church. Even though I no longer live in Princeton, I am still connected to the community through worship at Princeton United Methodist Church.

What are your hobbies and interests?

My  favorite pastime is walking and hiking whenever possible. Hiking allows for time to  reset, meditate and provides peace and tranquility from the pressures around us.

Besides raising my children, supporting Girls Scouts and nurturing young minds is one of the greatest privileges of my adult life. I was a troop  leader for several years and transitioned to Council Reviewer 8 years ago to support girls through their silver and gold awards.

Finally, we are  a family who  love music and theatre. Supporting my  children’s love of  singing has led to love of the arts. We try not to miss choir performances, festivals, local concerts and theatre. Our favorite close to  home is ‘Play in  the Park’ in  Edison. These days we compete on who can find the cheapest concerts and Broadway tickets.
