The Birdhouse Project

Launched in the spring of 2025, the Birdhouse Project is a community-wide initiative showcasing the talents and creativity of local professionals who have designed and constructed a one-of-a-kind birdhouse displayed outdoors on the grounds of a founding PCH Community Partner or in a PCH Community.

The purpose of the Birdhouse Project is to highlight the need for and benefits of affordable housing and to celebrate Princeton Community Village (PCV)’s 50th year anniversary and Elm Court’s 40th year anniversary, also raising funds for resident celebrations over the summer.

We are grateful to the talented Builders, Architects, Carpenters, Artists, and Design Professionals who have contributed to the Birdhouse Project including…

A huge thank you to The Birdhouse Project’s Ambassadors, Charlie Yedlin and Sheila Nall, who led the efforts!

“At PCH, there’s a long tradition of building Birdhouses, largely as fundraisers. We thought that we could expand on that idea by displaying the creations around town for the public to enjoy and showcase the remarkable talents we have here in Princeton in the building and design trades.”

Princeton Community Housing is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides, manages, and advocates for affordable, safe and well-maintained homes, offering all people the opportunity to build more productive and fulfilling lives.

We envision Princeton as a vibrant, inclusive community that is home to people of all income levels.

In 2025, our largest and oldest community, Princeton Community Village, celebrated its 50th anniversary, and our first senior community, Elm Court, celebrated its 40th anniversary. All proceeds from The Birdhouse Project underwrote community-wide celebrations this past summer for our residents. By supporting us, you can help ensure milestone events to come— planned, organized, and celebrated with our neighbors.

Community is our Middle Name.
