Necall Durrant serves as the Property Manager at Griggs Farm, one of the communities within Princeton Community Housing (PCH). Since joining PCH in 2012, Necall has held several roles, from administrative assistant to assistant property manager, and steadily grew into her current position. At Griggs Farm, she oversees everything from resident relations to maintenance coordination, rent collection, unit certifications, and move-in processes. Her role is hands-on and people-focused, ensuring residents feel supported, heard, and secure in their homes.

Necall’s journey into affordable housing was shaped by decades of dedicated volunteer service. Long before working in the field, she was deeply engaged in her community through local housing initiatives. She served as president of a condo association for over two decades and supported affordable housing efforts in any way she could, from assembling materials to educating herself on housing policies. Her early involvement laid the groundwork for a lifelong commitment to ensuring others have access to the same stability and opportunities that strong communities provide.

Her belief in service was encouraged by her grandmother and has always guided her. Even during periods of personal transition, Necall remained active in the community by offering time, skills, and compassion wherever they were needed. Whether mentoring others through job readiness programs or organizing donations in response to local emergencies, adopting seniors’ friends and spending time with them, she has continually embodied the values of empathy and reciprocity and value of seniors in the community. In 2017, after a fire at Griggs Farm, she worked alongside staff and community volunteers daily to coordinate food and clothing and monetary donations for affected families, demonstrating her ability to lead with both heart and action.

Necall believes that affordable housing is more than a roof over someone’s head. It is the foundation for a stable, thriving life. She finds the greatest joy in watching new residents settle into a safe neighborhood, often for the first time. “You can’t survive without community,” she says. “You must have both hands out, one to give and one to receive.” Her philosophy is simple but powerful. Small, consistent acts of care make a lasting impact. Through her work at Griggs Farm and her lifelong dedication to serving others, Necall continues to be a quiet force for positive change.
